immersed in an innate fascination for furniture in all its manifestations, the fervent desire to shape it has long taken residence within me. it is through the medium of drawing that i have chosen to materialize this creative quest, acquiring over the years the majority of my skills through self-directed learning.
in my creations, the object naturally ascends to the status of a preeminent subject. i enjoy conceiving it as the blossoming of a fantasy, a fleeting space, elusive in reality but coming to life solely on paper. each work becomes a staged setting where furniture assumes the stature of a protagonist, a character i explore through a unique interpretation of a chosen model. thus, photography stands as a complementary reference, a harmonious addition to my artistic practice.
the intentions underlying my work include, among other things, the need to grant myself a moment of introspection and to evoke an atmosphere imbued with simplicity, inviting the viewer to a sensory experience within a scene where they would wish to find themselves.
with the pencil and lead as instruments, i manage to reproduce the desired nuances, shaping intensities in harmony with the sensitivity of the moment. finally, the titles, often tinged with ambiguity, weave a narrative thread by offering a plural context, according to the delicate perception of the recipient.
